tl;dr: One of the posters knew someone who had a 1983 Ford F-150 that is constantly breaking down (it even shuts off as soon as the tailgate fell down much to the amusement of the shop's denizens at the time), someone asks what engine it has and they respond it has a 350. The Chevy and Ford fanboy jack off contests are insane. Nothing bugs me more. Why can't people appreciate both manufacturers?

I appreciate both manufacturers in different ways.
Full Disclosure:
Dyed in the wool GM guy here.
I like GM parts engineering better. I think typically they make a better part. The downside is they'll take a car and put a bunch of good stuff in it and just give up at the tail end, kind of like the tail end of the Malibu.
Ford on the other hand engineers mediocre to kind of good parts but does an excellent job tying a platform together to make something greater than the sum of it's parts.
Just my opinion here so don't nobody go crying that I hurt their feelings.
